As a supplier, IWAKI Nordic A / S is responsible for ensuring that the product labeling complies with the ATEX Equipment Directive.
IWAKI needs precise information from the customer about the zone classification for the area where the pump is to be used. The information from the customer shall include information on the classification zone, temperature class, explosion group and ambient temperature.

Equipment for use in potentially explosive atmospheres are classified in 3 different categories (1, 2 and 3):
Category 1 equipment can be used in zone 0, 1 og 2 (gas) and in zone 20, 21 og 22 (dust).
Category 2 equipment can be used in zone 1, 2 (gas) and in zone 21 og 22 (dust).
Category 3 equipment can be used in zone 2 (gas) and in zone 22 (dust).
